ZLOT 2007 - the patch

At the start of the ZLOT each commander flies his aircraft to the airbase near to where the meeting is held. Airbase of choice for ZLOT 2007 was Krzesiny, the base that houses the first Polish F-16s. The commanders of the Army aviation and Naval aviation units also participate in ZLOT, making it an interesting event. Basically, aircraft and helicopters of every military flying unit in Poland are together in one place. Quite unique! Unfortunately both Navy helicopters (a Mi-14 and W-3RM), had to cancel their participation, probably due to the bad weather in the northern part of Poland.
A big thank you to Major Wieslaw Grzegorzewski for realizing our visit. Also a big thank you to my friend Marek Idzior.

Cobra 18 and 20 (Mi-14 and W-3RM of the Polish Naval Aviation) cancelled.

Arrivals for ZLOT 2007 started at noon on the 15th of May, before that a few support aircraft had already landed. It was nice to see a flightline filled with a wide variety of Polish aircraft, from the ancient An-2 Anka, to the state-of-the-art F-16 Block 52+. All participants were scheduled to depart Krzesiny again on the 17th of May.
